26th Japanese Single
BoA's 26th Japanese single, 'Vivid', will be released on June 4th in two versions: CD and CD + DVD. The first track 'Kissing you' is the theme song for the Japanese drama '7 Female Lawyers' and 'Sparkling' will be used in a new CM. The third track 'Joyful smile' is said to have a R&B style. Fans have more to look forward to because of the two new PVs that will be released.

Lee Soo Man says, "Not yet."
BoA fans from every part of the globe have been anxiously waiting for more news regarding her American debut or a possible comeback in Korea. Finally, Lee Soo Man shed some light on the topic at TVXQ's third tour press conference held on May 4th 2008. When reporters asked about BoA and TVXQ's advancement towards America he replied, "Not yet. There is still a lot of work to do in Japan as well as Asia. On the other hand they have to do activities in Korea. Things that need to be achieved first should be achieved, then I want to think about the next step."

"BoA is our country's best female singer representative."
In a recent interview for Lexy's 4th album, she revealed what she thought about BoA. While talking about her hit tracks 'Above the sky', 'Girls' and her newest song 'Ma people' Lexy said, "If it was BoA, she would be able to do even these songs in a cool way. BoA lives out her music career with all her pride. I envy that a lot, yet I'm very proud of her. She is our country's best female singer representative. BoA comes out with cool, stylish and wonderful songs rather than just a popular song for the masses of people. To know that there are songs like this for people like us, I'm filled with inexpressible joy. In the future, though it might be hard for her, I want her to continue on to come out with music like that." In addition to that she said, "Right now, our music industry is definitive under a couple of people's beck and call. Everybody does whatever is popular, be it the sexy concept or cute concept, etc. To see our music industry be biased to that is frustrating. That is the road to live off of, but somebody needs to present a different direction. That's the direction that I want to go with someone."

Very Random News
Recently, MC Mong revealed that he has had a girlfriend for three years. (Rapper, H-Eugene was the one that introduced them.) When asked about MC Mong's girlfriend's appearance, H-Eugene replied that she looked like Jessica Alba. MC Mong proudly bragged, "No, she looks like BoA."

BoA has been reserved to appear on a new korean talk show called 'The Star Show.' The new talk show will be hosted by actor Choi Soo Jong and comedian MC, Park Soo Hong. The production team is planning the real variety and entertainment program to not just show the star's glamorous side but for the public to be able to relate to their genuine side. Director Shim Hyung Rae, figure skater Kim Yuna, and BoA are the first three tentative guests to be on the show. It is especially unusual and exciting to see BoA, who has been busy in Japan, for an hour on a talk show (in South Korea no less). The first episode with director, Shim Hyung Rae will air on April 28th.

A poll was held asking 250 opinion leaders who they thought were the Best 30 Female Power Leaders in Korea's society. Politician Park Geun Hye grabbed the top spot with 244 votes, while BoA was the only singer that made it onto the list. BoA was ranked 26th on the list in a three way tie with Shim Jae Myung (MK Pictures President and CEO) and Kang Soo Jin (ballet dancer). In the broadcasting and entertainment section she was tied in 3rd with Shim Jae Myung with 116 votes.

Kwon Brothers Hard At Work
The Kwon brothers have come together to help each other out. Kwon Soon Wook directed the music video for his older brother, Kwon Soon Hwon's title song 'La primo' off his new classical album 'Easy Classic'. Kwon Soon Hwon had previously released 3 digital albums which gained enough popularity to top the rankings in the classical music category.

Kwon Soon Wook has graduated from Seoul National University's Graduate School of Music and as of late is preparing to enter London's Royal Academy of Music, one of the world's leading music institutions. In addition to Kwon Soon Wook's music video directing activities, he is also an entrepreneur, working with the jewelry brand Ramee. He is also responsible for launching the accessories brand BB Simon in Korea. What a busy guy!
Nice to know where BoA gets her musical and artsy traits in the family. Oh, and if you haven't figured it out by now, these two talented gentlemen are BoA's older brothers.

With the help of her brother, Kwon Soon Wook, BoA will be releasing a special edition jewelry line through Ramee called 'Ramee by BoA.' On April 1st, the 20 accessories that BoA helped design will be on sale at the Lotte Young Plaza located in MyungDong, Seoul. The accessories worn during the 'My Name', 'Girls On Top', and 'Anyband' era will also be included (primarily the accessories created from silver).

Since this is BoA's first project as an entrepreneur, she has the entertainment industry buzzing with anticipation. Apart from designing the products, BoA is also greatly involved with the overall management of the company. Lotte Department store said that they are planning on releasing the line in all of their stores nationwide.

BoA's brother, Kwon Soon Wook said, "BoA always says that she wants to study design at art school. She has such high interest in fashion to the point where she checks to see what brands sell better in Melrose (L.A.) and Japan; or why luxury brand Dior sells better in Japan than France. Through this project she put on her first button from transforming into a fashion entrepreneur."

BoA's popular Hite poster
Ever since BoA became the new model for Hite, the demand for Hite posters have skyrocketed. There have been many cases where people have been secretly sneaking off with the posters from convenience stores, as well as numerous requests for BoA's Hite poster. Since then, Hite has been giving out a special poster with BoA's signature on it. But the icing on the cake is, the poster is made out of fabric so you can stick it up on a wall with ease.
